Always There

In the warmth of the sun today,

The escape of such

simplicity

I connect to so easily, so eagerly,

as my heart, in those seconds where this is pushed aside,

feel how much I miss you so,

How much I have been missing you.

In today's subtle adventure of taking time out,

from the pressures that are all consuming,

enabling the breath so desperately in need to be released,

finding itself within the insatiable longing I feel,

from a word, a smile, a hug,

where every second seems too short

every kiss not long enough.

Tomorrow the day will return,

the daily grind of pressure reclaiming these moments

that seem to elude us too frequently,

in the chaos of their demands

seeming so important;

Yet, when the love overwhelms my entire body,

Running through to every vein,

where your touch brings me back to life,

the moment seeming to be too far and few between;
